HANS SCHWARZ
HANS SCHWARZ is a worthy descendent of four generations of artisan furriers, in Frankfurt, Germany. His forefathers have created the company in1947 in Frankfurt, the European center of the fur industry. Passion for natural materials of excellence and of authenticated origin, sustainable design, an inextinguishable thirst for new techniques and innovation characterized the company from its very beginning to today. Hans Schwarz’s signature lies in making fur into super lightweight, wearable garments.
The creative excellence of Hans Schwarz’s contemporary sport chic style was recognized from the beginning of his career, when he was asked to work for Fendi, to more recently when he won the German National Design Award, Saga Furs Award, Swakara Gold Prize For Innovative Fur Making, and the Fur & Fashion Frankfurt Gold Medal. Hans Schwarz is an active member of the German Furrier Association, where he currently holds a post in the Fashion Committee, and he is also a member of the board of the German Fur Institute (DPI)

Green Couture is a registered trademark of HANS SCHWARZ for sustainable luxury. It reflects HANS SCHWARZ'S responsibility for nature, ethics, ecological balance and resources. He assures that:
FURS
Furs originate either from the livestock husbandry or belong according to WWF to invasive kinds, called neobiota/alien species. Neobiota are animals from foreign continents. Often they are imported from South America, Asia and overseas against regulation. They multiply too fast, due to lack of natural enemies and threaten flora and fauna, as well as native species.
CITES CERTIFIED
Are skins of endangered and protected species that are listed under List 1 or 2 according to the CITES Convention.
TANNED ACCORDING TO EU LAW
Tanning and dyeing happens in tanneries in Italy, France and Germany. The tanning and dyeing processes are carried out according to the strict environmental and nature conservation laws of the EU. These are particularly environmentally friendly and fundamental to human health.
CARRY THE 'OA' LABEL
All auctioned breeding skins carry the "OA" label (ORIGIN ASSURED) according to a labeling program that stands for openness and transparency. With these skins, it can be completely proven where they came from.
